Fluxing Regenerating Plant
The fluxing solution is kept into a closed circuit reprocessing unit where adding hydrogen peroxide and ammoniac, the iron will be separated as a non hazardous iron hydroxide sludge, to be easily disposed in any authorized solid waste dump.
The fluxing tank solution is recycled through the sequence of oxidizing tank, neutralizing tank and sludge settling tank, after which the clear flux is sent back to the fluxing tank.
The pH of the solution is automatically controlled by a “step by step” regulator that adding the oxi-dizing reagent and one alkaline reagent while keeping the pH at set value, transforms the carried in Pickling Salts (Iron Chlorides and Hydrochloric Acid) into Ammonium and Iron Hydroxides thus separating the solid sludge to be disposed according to local regulations.
This unit works automatically and once in a while the filterpress has to be manually opened to unload the sludge. The reagents containers are the one already available in the market as deliv-ery tanks.
